1.4 Connecting to a PC

The GLK12232-25 connects seamlessly to a PC and it is an excellent means of testing the functionality

and uploading new fonts and bitmaps. You will require a Communication and 5V Power Cable such as the

one shown in Figure 5.

In order to connect your display to a personal computer follow these easy instructions:

1. Plug the DB9 end of the Communication and 5V Power cable cable into the com port you wish to use.

2. Connect thepowerconnector end of the Communicationand 5V Power cableinto the PCpower supply

(you will have to open your computer case if you do not have a separate power supply).

3. Connect the power and data connector of the Communication and 5V Power cable into the back of the

display, see Section 2.1 for details.
